Bulldozer BBQ were the first American BBQ rub company in Australia, introducing the style in 2009. But we've been making rubs since growing up in the US in the 60s and 70s.
We always felt that BBQ is about "local", so that's how we operate. We may have been born American but we're totally into what Australia brings to the table. Source local, premium ingredients in smaller amounts direct from growers so that what we sell is as fresh and tasty as possible. We use local herbs, salts from the Pink Lake of Dimboola, Victoria, quality unprocessed sugars from Queensland and so on.This spice rub has a natural sweetness of roasted beetroot, a slight heat, the earthiness of arabica coffee plus surprising elements like fenugreek and sumac.
Bulldozer BBQ has taken American traditions and gone off into gourmet areas inspired by the way Australians eat and the things this country has been influenced by.
It’s gorgeous on pork or chicken, fantastic on salmon and other seafood and perfectly suited to duck. Smoked, grilled or pan seared, it works just right for anything that likes a bit of sweetness while remaining so well balanced.
