Can only wood chips be used in gas smokers?
No! Wood chunks work extremely well in gas smokers and we always recommend trying these. Wood pellets also work really well and even a mixture of any of these works a treat.
Do you need to use a multiprobe thermometer in a vertical gas smoker?
Yes we always recommend using a good multiprobe thermometer like the Inkbird 4 probe Wifi and setting up ambient probes on each cooking rack to refine your cooks as there will be a variance in temperatures between different height racks food is cooking on.
